#designaddicted friends and not !!

With a day late (unfortunately sorting has taken longer than expected -.-), I’m here to give you a few tips on what to see in the hot design week in Milan.

Oh yes, because if you want to tour and go blind, you might be overwhelmed by all the events, cocktails, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and after dinner there will be, with the result that after 3/4 hours of wandering you’ll be drunk and confused as Alice in Wonderland.

Let’s start with what for me are the coolest events of the week and I want to see ever.

1- ZONA TORTONA / TORTONA AREA

Stampa

Obviously it is one of the mythical and inevitable aera in the week, with all the little shops around the neighborhood that are putting on display in a thousand different ways.

But one of the most special event is of Supertudio Più, with Materials Village: the theme is innovation and materials and in the setting of Via Tortona, located in containers and homes of different sizes, where you can admire new materials and new solutions to meet the needs of the future.

Many different companies present: Florim, 3m and Oikos, to name a few.

You’ll find also an installation of Marcello Cerasuolo: a multi-module structure based on the principles of passive house.

This one of the most pleasant surprises: discover the world of events that will be present in this area.

Through the website completely dedicated to the week (http://zonasantambrogio.com/) you can choose what you want to see.

Two appointments for me to report: DO UT DESIGN, a stage for young designers coming from all over the world, who show their creations around the themes self-productivity, and free food.

The second event is EAT URBAN: the festival of street food transforms the interior garden of S.Vittore 49 (a former convent) in an outdoor restaurant, with the best gourmet food trucks coming from all over Italy.
