Dite la verità: si sta bene a casa a godersi qualche meritato giorno di vacanza eh (ovviamente per quelli che non lavorano) ??

Oggi vi voglio parlare di un giovane architetto / artista, Mattia Paco Rizzi: come dice lui di se stesso “architetto per formazione, artista per devozione”. Da vita ad installazioni ed opere artistiche che hanno al centro di tutto l’essere umano e il corpo umano.

Sono opere che dialogano con le persone e che sono fatte per far interagire gli esseri umani. Si è contemporaneamente spettatori, fruitori ed artisti.

Today I want to talk to you of a young architect / artist, Mattia Paco Rizzi: as he says of himself “architect by training, artist for devotion”. He creates installations and works of art that have as protagonist human being and human body.

His works dialogue with people and they are made to interact with humans. We are at the same time spectators, visitors and artists.

ARTE E ARCHITETTURA SI INCONTRANO: LE OPERE DI MATTIA PACO RIZZI

Schizzi fatti d’impulso si tramutano in strumenti mediatici e opere architettoniche anche grazie alle conoscenze delle tecniche costruttive.

Tra le tante esibizioni internazionali a cui ha partecipato con i collettivi EXYZT e STUDIO PUBLIC, vi voglio parlare in particolare di due opere: FAR WEST HOTEL a Rotterdam e LA PLAINE X70 a Bruxelles.

Impulsive sketches turn into media tools and architectural works, also thanks to the knowledge of construction techniques.

Among the many international exhibitions in which he participated with the collective EXYZT and STUDIO PUBLIC, I want to talk to you in particular of two works: FAR WEST HOTEL in Rotterdam and LA PLAINE X70 in Brussels.

 

Il FAR WEST HOTEL si pone come un’esperienza di sonno unica nel suo genere; piccole casette di legno disseminate in luoghi magnifici di Rotterdam, lungo il witte de withstraat o su un’isoletta del Museumpark.

Che vi troviate in mezzo al bosco o su un tetto a vista, la notte sarà memorabile mentre la mattina tutti a fare colazione nei lunghi tavoli di legno che ci sono di fianco alle casette. Se la stanchezza vi cogliesse di giorno, nessun problema: le cabine sono a vostra disposizione.

The FAR WEST HOTEL stands as a unique experience of sleep; small wooden houses scattered in magnificent sights of Rotterdam, along the witte de Withstraat or on an island in the Museumpark.

At the morning you have breakfast on long wooden tables that are next to houses. But if you pluck fatigue of day, no problem: the cabins are at your disposal.

LA PLAINE X70

Tra l’edificio Curo-Hall e la Rue du Compas a Bruxelles c’era questo grande spazio urbano abbandonato, riconvertito in uno spazio di incontro e scambio: La Plaine X70.

Un sito permanente dove giardini condivisi, zone di ritrovo e piccole aree per praticare sport si incontrano; un luogo di socialità condivisa che ridà alla città una zona persa.

Among the Curo-Hall building and the Rue du Compas in Brussels there was this great urban space abandoned, converted into a space for meeting and exchange: La Plaine X70.

A permanent site where shared gardens, meeting areas and small areas for sports meet; a place of shared sociability that gives back to the city a lost area.
