Lo so che vi starete chiedendo dove vi porterò oggi, nel nostro giro intorno al mondo in cerca delle case più belle e piccole del globo: ebbene oggi siamo vicino casa e cioè a Milano.

Eh si perché non è sempre vero che le cose più belle sono fuori portata, anzi: ora che daremo un occhio a questi luminosi 58 m² rimarrete senza parole.

I know you’re probably wondering where I will bring you today, in our trip around the world in search of the most beautiful and small houses of the world: well today we are close to home and precisely in Milan.

Oh yes because it is not always true that best things are out of reach, on the contrary: now that we will have a look at these bright 58 m² you will be speechless.

Ci troviamo nella zona dei bellissimi Navigli, in un vecchio edificio industriale buio e trasandato.

L’architetto Francesca Mazziotti comincia la ristrutturazione di questo loft con due parole chiave: spazi aperti e luce naturale.

Le partizioni fisse sono quasi totalmente assenti, sostituite da mobili su misura passanti.

Il colore dominante è il bianco con accenti di color rosso amaranto che scaldano e creano un ambiente intimo e accogliente.

 

We are located in the beautiful Navigli, in an old industrial building dark and unkempt.

The architect Francesca Mazziotti begins the renovation of this loft with two key words: open spaces and natural light.

Al piano terra trovano posto la cucina, con uno splendido tavolo in castagno e rovere restaurato e la lavanderia: sono sicura che vi domanderete dov’è, visto che non c’è traccia di una lavatrice.

Ebbene, in quegli armadi bianchi a fianco alla scala profondi solo 60 cm, trova posto nascosta la lavatrice.

 

On the ground floor are the kitchen, with a beautiful restored table in chestnut and oak and the laundry: I’m sure you’ll wonder where it is, because there is no trace of a washing machine.

Well, in those white cabinets next to the stairs only 60 cm deep, finds place the washing machine.

 

Le scale ci portano ad un soppalco vetrato che permette alla luce dei lucernari di filtrare: qui in un angolo c’è un fornitissimo studio, con scaffalature al millimetro.

Poco più in là, dietro ad una libreria passante c’è il letto matrimoniale.

Cos’è che stiamo dimenticando però? Bè certo il bagno: unica stanza della casa ad avere partizioni fisse che lo separano dal resto, trova posto nel cubo ribassato a fianco dello studio e si integra perfettamente con gli armadi della camera.

 

The stairs lead us to a loft glass that allows light to filter: in the corner there is a well-stocked studio, with millimetric shelving.

A little farther on, behind a library is through the bed.

What are we forgetting? Well of course the bathroom: the only room in the house to have fixed partitions that separate it from the rest, it is placed in the lowered cube alongside the study and integrates perfectly with the bedroom wardrobes.

Rovere sbiancato bianco a terra, travi bianche, pezzi d’autore per arredo e tante idee salva-spazio geniali rendono questa casa un vero gioiello.
