Dite la verità: le vacanze di Natale sono passate da poco, ma vi sembrano secoli che non prendete un giorno di ferie. Molti di voi come me, stanno facendo il conto alla rovescia per le vacanze estive.

Quindi per prepararsi un po’ e scoprire posti nuovi da visitare, oggi vi porto ad Amsterdam: se doveste passare da quelle parti, c’è questo ristorante che non potete assolutamente perdere.

Come one, tell the truth: Christmas holidays have passed away recently, but there seems ages since you take a day off. Many of you, like me, are doing the countdown for summer holidays.

So just to prepare yourself to discover new places to visit, today I bring you in Amsterdam: if you were to go over there, there is this restaurant that you can not miss.

TRA WOK E SAKE PER IL PERFETTO RISTORANTE ASIATICO AD AMSTERDAM

Si chiama Happyhappyjoyjoy (letteralmente felicefelicegioiagioa) ed è frutto del lavoro dello studio multidisciplinare Concrete, sempre di Amsterdam.

Its name is Happyhappyjoyjoy and is the work of the multidisciplinary study Concrete, always in Amsterdam.

Dall’esterno il ristorante è carico di stimoli visivi: luci al neon col logo del locale, stampe, pattern, colori; una moltitudine di richiami alle strette strade asiatiche dove girovagando si trovano centinaia di piccoli luoghi in cui mangiare un boccone.

Il caos del mondo asiatico è ben ricostruito: dalla vetrina possiamo scorgere un mix di stili che sicuramente invitano a entrare, anche solo per la curiosità suscitata dalla parete coperta di persiane e dai 18 televisori che scendono dal soffitto.

From the outside the restaurant it’s full of visual stimuli: neon lights with the logo of the local, prints, patterns, colors; a multitude of references to the narrow streets of Asia where wandering you can find hundreds of small places to eat a bite.

The chaos of the Asian world is well rebuilt: from the window we can see a mix of styles that will surely invite you to come, if only for the curiosity aroused by the wall covered with blinds and 18 light boxes hanging from the ceiling.

Lasciamo il verde giada alle pareti dell’ingresso, gli alti sgabelli di alluminio, le birre asiatiche, i vini e i sake per un’atmosfera più intima.

Rossi ombrelli di carta ci riportano in Vietnam mentre alle pareti vecchi poster (incollati quasi come se fossero illegali) ci raccontano di universi distanti ma affascinanti.

Alle spalle del ristorante c’è la cucina a vista con alcune sedute per i curiosi che vogliono godersi lo spettacolo.

After the jade green on the walls of the entrance, the tall aluminum stools, Asian beers, wines and sakes there is a more intimate atmosphere.

Red paper umbrellas bring us back to Vietnam, while old posters on the walls (glued as if they were illegal) tell us about universes far apart but fascinating.

Behind the restaurant is the kitchen, with some stools for the curious who want to enjoy the show.

Volete stare appartati e tranquilli? C’è la possibilità di riservare dei tavoli a parte che possono essere schermati da porte in alluminio e vetro, per una perfetta serata in intimità.

Do you want to be quiet? There is the possibility of reserving tables in a part that can be shielded by aluminum and glass doors for a perfect evening in intimacy.
