“I just got home, why don’t you come and give it an eye so you can tell me what do you think?”

Let’s say the truth decorators and interior designers friends: how many times have you heard say this sentence, sometimes even with undisguised double end?

Instead it happens in the world that this phrase its said because there is the will to set up a renovation and this proposition become a success for all.

It is what Michael Pozner, head of retail development of American Apparel, has proposed to the architects of the interdisciplinary study Jordan Parnass Digital Architecture.

The house was bought in 1999 shortly before the collapse of the property market and it is a long, narrow double-height apartment of less than 50 m².

Architects and clients have walked the length and breadth of the apartment, trying to understand the needs of the owner.

Surely the first step was to clean and tidy up the superfluous, to clarify and recover as much space as possible.

The primary need was sure to have as much space as possible to store and conceal.

here is than that the heart of the house takes shape with a series of interlocking volumes that host cabinets, bookcases, container stairs, sleeping area and kitchen.

Spaces perfectly designed and intersected that define all spaces needed in a respectable home.

The unifying element: the white oak planks interspersed with polished lacquered furniture for the whole house.

How could you not love a house like this in New York East Village?

Luckily least dreaming is still free 😉
