L’avvicinarsi del clima Natalizio mi fa sempre venire il buonumore e soprattutto mi invoglia a cambiare tutto l’aspetto di casa, portando novità e trasformazioni.

Ad esempio, potrebbe capitarvi di avere in casa un pavimento in legno vecchissimo e ormai irrecuperabile.

Che fare per dare un aspetto degno a questo pavimento?

Sicuramente tirare su tutto e mettere del legno nuovo non è la cosa più economica del mondo e quindi perché non ridipingerlo??

The approach of Christmas atmosphere always makes me feel good and above all makes me want to change the whole aspect of my house, bringing innovations and transformations.

For example, it could happen to have in the house a wooden floor very old and irrecoverable.

What to do to give a worthy aspect to this floor?

Surely pull up everything and put new wood is not the cheapest thing in the world so why not repaint it ??

Possiamo decidere di ridipingere tutto il pavimento con un solo colore: total white, total black oppure in un unico colore in base alla palette di tonalità che abbiamo in casa.

 

We can choose to paint all over the floor with a single color: all white, all black or one color according to the palette of colors we have at home.

Se invece vi sentite più originali e creativi allora potete pensare di osare con stencil e decori vari: scegliete un colore base su cui applicarete i vostri stencil a contrasto o tono su tono.

Anche le righe e gli scacchi non passano mai di moda e danno carattere alla stanza, facendole cambiare completamente aspetto in poco tempo.

 

If you feel more original and creative then you can think to dare with stencils and various decorations: choose a base color on which you will apply your stencil in contrasting color or tone on tone.

Even stripes and chess never go out of fashion and give character to the room, making them completely change appearance in a short time.

Prima di dipingere però seguite alcune accortezze:

1- Se il legno è rovinato (con buchi e graffi) è consigliabile usare dello stucco per legno per sistemare tutte le imperfezioni

2- Scartavetrate tutta la superficie per togliere la traccia di oli o vernici che potrebbero non far attecchire il colore

3- Alcune vernici potrebbero non richiederlo, ma è consigliabile usare un primer (sigillante) che andrà a chiudere i pori del legno permettendovi di usare meno vernice

4- Applicate due mani di vernice (che sia dedicata ai pavimento in legno) e fate asciugare bene.

E se doveste stufarvi, una lamata e il legno originale sarà li ad aspettarvi  🙂

 

Before painting, however, follow a few precautions:
1- If the wood is damaged (with holes and scratches) it is advisable to use a wood filler to fix all the imperfections

2- Sand it across the surface to remove traces of oil or paints that could not take catch color

3- Some paints may not ask, but you should use a primer (sealant) that will close the wood pores, allowing you to use less paint

4- Apply two coats of paint (which is dedicated to the wooden floor) and let it dry.

And if you should get bored, a sanded and the original wood will be there waiting   🙂
